The Alta Via dei Monti Lattari is featured on Radio 24: it talks about the CAI 300 trail

The Alta Via dei Monti Lattari comes to Radio 24. This is an important opportunity to tell a national audience about one of Campania’s most fascinating hiking trails and the work carried out in recent years to promote and publicize it.

On Sunday 7 June 2026 , within “Grand Tour – A passo libero” , a space dedicated to slow tourism, walking and trekking, Luca Casaburi spoke to talk about the Alta Via dei Monti Lattari and the experience developed around the altaviadeimontilattari.it project .

The episode, significantly titled “Campania: we walk between suspended crests and wild coasts” , takes listeners on a discovery of a Campania to be explored on foot, far from the more traditional tourist circuits.

A path suspended between two gulfs

The protagonist of the project is the CAI 300 path , known as the Alta Via dei Monti Lattari: a long crossing that follows the mountain ridge behind the Amalfi Coast and the Sorrento Peninsula.

This itinerary allows you to traverse an extraordinarily diverse landscape, passing in just a few kilometers from woods to panoramic ridges, from small villages to mountains overlooking the Mediterranean.

The altaviadeimontilattari.it project was launched in 2020 with the aim of promoting the Lattari Mountains and the Amalfi and Sorrento Coasts through technology, culture, environment, and experiential tourism.

During his appearance on Radio 24, Luca Casaburi talks about the route and its characteristics, ideally starting from Corpo di Cava , near the thousand-year-old Benedictine Abbey of the Holy Trinity of Cava de’ Tirreni, and arriving at the tip of the Sorrento Peninsula, at Punta Campanella .

It’s a journey that seamlessly connects mountains and sea: from the highest altitudes, the view sweeps over the Amalfi Coast, the Gulf of Salerno, the Sorrento Peninsula, and the Gulf of Naples.

The Alta Via to be experienced in several stages

One of the aspects discussed during the presentation concerns the possibility of organizing the Alta Via over several days of walking , adapting the experience to the abilities and preparation of the hikers.

The entire route has been undertaken several times by the project staff as part of the “Walk with Us – Alta Via dei Monti Lattari” initiative .

In the 2025 edition, for example, the group covered approximately 75 kilometers and 4,500 meters of elevation gain in three days , following the CAI 300 trail from the heights of Cava de’ Tirreni to Punta Campanella.

But the Alta Via is not just a sporting challenge.

Above all, it’s a different way to get to know the area: slowly, traversing it and observing how the landscapes, vegetation, small towns, traditions, and views of the sea change.

From digital design to local storytelling

The Radio 24 appearance represents a further step in the journey Luca and Marco Casaburi began several years ago with altaviadeimontilattari.it.

The project was born from the desire to create a digital presence capable of collecting and making accessible information, experiences, photographs, and content dedicated to the Alta Via and the territory crossed by the CAI 300 Trail.

A project to which Turismo.RicercAttiva has also contributed over the years.

Already in 2023, on the pages of our magazine, we presented the Guide to the points of interest of the Alta Via dei Monti Lattari , created by collecting information and experiences gained directly during excursions and crossings of the area.

The goal remains to tell the story of a part of Campania that often lies just beyond its most famous tourist destinations, but which preserves trails, mountains, and places of great natural, historical, and cultural value.

A 2026 dedicated once again to walking

The radio broadcast also comes a few weeks after the presentation of “Walk with Us 2026 – Alta Via dei Monti Lattari” , which took place on 16 May 2026 at Palazzo Mezzacapo in Maiori , during the twentieth edition of ..incostieraamalfitana.it – Mediterranean Book Festival .

On that occasion, Marco and Luca Casaburi presented the initiative dedicated to the Alta Via crossing and the promotion of the area crossed by the great hiking itinerary.

From the mountains to cultural events, from the web to national radio, the common thread remains the same: making the Lattari Mountains known by walking them .

Because the Alta Via isn’t simply a line drawn on a hiking map. It’s a journey along the ridge that simultaneously separates and unites two gulfs, crossing some of Campania’s most spectacular landscapes.

And telling it on Radio 24 means bringing these paths, at least for a few minutes, into the homes and headphones of listeners across Italy.

Enjoy listening and, above all, enjoy your journey.
