At the beginning of 2023, our attention falls on the small Cilento agricultural village of Vibonati , on the edge of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park , a few kilometers from Basilicata and Calabria. The town is located in the hinterland of the Gulf of Policastro north of Sapri , overlooking a thin and elongated spur between two tributary valleys of the Cacafava torrent . On this spur the houses are perched from below until they reach the Sanctuary of Sant’Antonio Abate , a thousand narrow streets and alleys really create a suggestive urban labyrinth in which it is pleasant to get lost.
Here on 17 December 2022 the Logos Museum was inaugurated at the Convent of San Francesco di Paola , which houses the crib exhibition divided into 27 rooms that retraces the most significant stages in the life of Jesus.
The Neapolitan-style crib is made with thousands of self-propelled statues and is the largest in Europe, according to the press.
Moved by curiosity we moved here to this small village to see this work of art of the Neapolitan nativity scene and to testify with a short video to intrigue and invite lovers of this ancient art to visit it.
